Skin+Touch Therapy moving to Caroline Street

A spa that offers various kinds of massage therapy and facials will move to a building on Caroline Street in downtown Fredericksburg that the business’ owner purchased Friday.

Brian Lam’s Skin+Touch Therapy plans to move into its new home at 714 Caroline St. around March 1 following a renovation. The business, which Lam started three years ago, currently leases space at 802-A Princess Anne St. after spending a couple of years at 3219 Fall Hill Ave.

Lam said the new space is triple the size of his current one. He plans two rooms for massage, one for skincare and a retail area in the front, and he will showcase local artists. The property also includes a courtyard in the back and an upstairs apartment that the business could someday expand into.

Lam said he is excited to be on Caroline Street. He’s been working with the Fredericksburg Main Street Initiative.

Working with REDCO, Lam and his partner purchased the 2,500-square-foot building from Jimel LLC for $425,000 using a 504 small-business loan financed by Virginia Partners Bank. Suzy Stone with Century 21 AdVenture Redwood brokered the sale.
