Age-restricted community planned in Spotsylvania

An age-restricted residential community is proposed near the Harrison Crossing retail center off State Route 3 in Spotsylvania County.

Richmond-based Cornerstone Homes LLC recently submitted a request to Spotsylvania planning officials to rezone about 33 acres at 12410 Five Mile Road to allow a residential community geared toward people 55 and older.

The community would be called Villas of Harrison Crossing and would include a maximum of 130 units, according to Spotsylvania planning documents.

Cornerstone Homes also developed the nearby Regency Park Villas in Spotsylvania.
