A popular Fredericksburg bakery is celebrating its 40th anniversary this week with a pair of events.

Paul’s Bakery, which is at 2008 Lafayette Blvd. in the city, is well-known for its donuts and other baked goods. The Glancy family bakery will hold a 40th-anniversary customer appreciation day Wednesday, and a kids’ party Sunday.

The Wednesday event, which will run from 6 a.m. until noon, will feature donuts for 40 cents as well as anniversary T-shirts, free coffee and lemonade, and door prizes.

The Sunday event will run from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. It will feature refreshments, train rides, an inflatable moon bounce and a number of games with prizes including “cupcake walk” and “corn hole donut toss.”
