Local homebuilder honored by national magazine
Gene Brown during a mission trip to Uganda.
An executive for a Spotsylvania County-based home-building company was named one of the industry’s top young professionals in the March issue of Professional Builder magazine.
The magazine named Gene Brown to its “40 Under 40″ list, which honors home builders under the age of 40.
Brown, 34, is vice president of construction and quality assurance for Atlantic Builders Ltd.
The magazine notes the University of Mary Washington graduate’s success in improving Atlantic’s home-buyer satisfaction levels, quickly building a home for a wounded veteran and decreasing construction overhead. It also mentions his recent mission trip to Uganda.
