New local magazine being launched

The first edition of a new monthly magazine dedicated to the Fredericksburg-area arts and cultural community will be published early next month.

Whurk will feature “photography, poetry, literature, fashion, comics, interviews and anything else creative that fits on the printed page,” according to the magazine’s website.

Local musician Seth Casana is the editor of Whurk, which will be free and advertising-supported. Numerous businesses throughout the region have already agreed to distribute it.
