Former Fatty J’s space back on the market

The space that was formerly home to the Fatty J’s bar in downtown Fredericksburg is again available for lease.

Restaurateurs Jake Crocker and Hayden Fisher had planned to open a Mexican-themed restaurant there called Jorge’s Cantina but later decided to take that concept to Richmond.

The pair own F.W. Sullivan’s on William Street and are working on a second downtown restaurant at 623 Caroline St. called The Chimneys, which will serve Southern food and is expected to open in the next couple of months.

The former Fatty J’s location at 106 George St. includes nearly 6,000 square feet of retail space and 10,000 square feet of office space. It’s listed with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer broker Virgil Nelson.
