Kybecca, PONSHOP team up on ceramic dishes

Downtown Fredericksburg businesses Kybecca Wine Bar and PONSHOP Studio recently teamed up on a project that Kybecca diners will soon experience.

Rebecca Thomas and Scarlett Pons, respectively part-owners of Kybecca on William Street and PONSHOP on Caroline Street, worked together to design glazed ceramic dishes that Kybecca will use to serve items from its evolving special menu. The pair plan an open-to-the-public event starting at 7 p.m. Jan. 30 at Kybecca that will feature the hand-made dishes and a special menu.

Customers will be able to purchase dishes similar to the ones Kybecca ordered from the downtown art studio and gallery – including a large square platter, smaller square plate and shallow bowl.

“I thought this collaboration would help us present our food in a whole new way,” Thomas said.
