Spotsylvania’s Economic Development Authority recently awarded incentive grants totaling $44,500 to four companies in the county.

- Backyard America in the Bowman Center got $10,000 to set up a metal shop for welding, bending and finishing aluminum extrusions to be used in pergola kits.
- Convert! Integrated Marketing, an online marketing and website development firm, got $10,000 toward signing a longer-term lease in the county.
- Stevenson Ridge, an inn and special event space in the courthouse area, got $12,500 toward a planned business expansion.
