Union First Market closes four branches
Richmond-based Union First Market Bank closed four branches in Virginia last week.
Branches closed Dec. 19 on Burke Commons Road and Springfield Boulevard in Fairfax County, Monticello Avenue in James City County and Main Street in Reedville.
Union First Market, which trails only BB&T as the largest bank in the Fredericksburg area by customer deposits, now has 90 branches in Virginia.
Separately, StellarOne Bank last week filed plans for a new branch at 9605 Gayton Road in Henrico County as it continues to make inroads into the Richmond-area market.
