The duo who opened Party Elegance in downtown Fredericksburg in 2010 have sold the company’s assets, and the Caroline Street building that formerly housed their business is now for sale.

Linda Sealy and Cathy Leonard recently sold Party Elegance’s various assets — its name, truck and a large supply of tables, chairs, linens, glassware, tableware, flatware and other party supplies — to David and Elaine Canty.

The Cantys also own and operate Spotsylvania County-based Memorable Moments, which offers music, decorations and photography services for weddings and other special events.

Sealy and Leonard have now closed the Party Elegance retail shop at 714-716 Caroline St. The Cantys are renting warehouse space for the party supplies in the Four-Mile Fork area.

Sealy and her husband, Frank, own the building at 714-716 Caroline St. The 2,500-square-foot property is now on the market for $575,000. Their son, Matthew, a Realtor with Century 21 AdVenture Redwood, is the listing agent. The property, which also includes an upstairs apartment and a courtyard in the back, is assessed at $501,700.
