Jimmy John’s sub shop coming to Central Park

A popular national sandwich-shop chain will open its first Fredericksburg-area location this spring in the Central Park shopping center.

A Jimmy John’s gourmet sandwich shop will open sometime around mid-to-late March in the former Bridges Brick Oven pizza location at 1291 Carl D. Silver Parkway. It’s next to a Radio Shack.

John Gluck will own the franchised Jimmy John’s location along with his cousin and cousin’s wife. Gluck lives in Northern Virginia but plans to move to the Fredericksburg area by the time the store opens. He placed a classified ad in Thursday’s Free Lance-Star seeking a full-time manager.

Gluck worked with Rappaport Cos. broker Shawn Carrington to find the 1,762-square-foot space, which Rappaport owns.
