AMF in Spotsylvania to stay open amid bankruptcy
The AMF bowling center in Spotsylvania County will continue to operate normally despite the parent company’s bankruptcy filing.
AMF Bowling Worldwide Inc., which is based in Mechanicsville, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Monday. The company also filed for reorganization in July 2001.
AMF has added a section on the restructuring to its website. AMF says the reorganization will allow the company to reduce its corporate debt “and be prepared to move forward on a financially stronger foundation.” The company expects to maintain normal business operations throughout the process.
The local AMF bowling center is at 12100 Kilarney Drive off State Route 3 in Spotsylvania County.
