Local companies team up on Websites For Anything

Two local companies have teamed up on a new venture that opened last month in Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping center.

Websites For Anything — which offers an array of web design, hosting and optimization services as well as photography — is now open at 1865 Carl D. Silver Parkway in the former location of a Sign-A-Rama store.

Jeff Morin and Chris Frederick had run the Sign-A-Rama store and have three years left on their lease. They have since created their own branded sign business, Signs For Anything, which they run out of an office in the Four-Mile Fork area of Spotsylvania County. Morin and Frederick’s For Anything network of companies also offers custom-designed coins, shirts, awards and many other products.

The pair subleased the Central Park space to the Forrester Systems web services company, which was previously in the Westwood Office Park and has been building For Anything’s websites for the past seven years. Forrester Systems is now doing business in Central Park as Websites For Anything, in which Frederick and Morin own a 30 percent stake.

Forrester Systems continues to do other kinds of work under its original business name, said owner Carlton Forrester. The company has done a lot of software and web-based development for medical clients. Forrester said the Websites For Anything name and retail location gives the company good visibility and public awareness, which he hopes will attract local small-business and nonprofit customers who prefer to talk in person about their websites. The company will also likely provide web services to For Anything’s existing customers.
