Retail project almost under way in North Stafford
Construction of an 8,000-square-foot multi-tenant retail building is expected to start in about a month at the main entrance into the Quantico Corporate Center in North Stafford.
DLR Contracting was issued a building permit last month for the building, which will be across Corporate Drive from the Navy Federal Credit Union branch at the QCC’s entrance off U.S. 1. A Courtyard by Marriott hotel is also planned nearby.
Construction will probably start around Dec. 1 and be finished in May, said David Newman, who is handling leasing at the QCC project for the Silver Cos.
Cookie’s Barber Shop II, Subway, Black Lime Mediterranean Cafe and I Luv Teriyaki II have all signed on at the new facility. About 2,700 square feet is still available; Newman is targeting a dry cleaner or fitness center.
