Rosner Auto adding area dealership

Rosner Auto Group, which has several Fredericksburg-area dealerships, is adding a new location and automotive brand to its local lineup.

The company will acquire a Ford dealership from Rappahannock Motors, Rosner President Clay Huber said Wednesday. The transaction will close sometime in November.

Rappahannock Motors is on U.S. 301 in the Port Conway area of King George County. Rappahannock Motors also sells new Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles and will continue to do so; Rosner is only taking over the Ford dealership.

Rosner will lease the space for its new business from the owners of Rappahannock Motors, Huber said. The dealership will be called Rosner Ford.

Rosner also runs Toyota, Scion, Nissan, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the Fredericksburg area as well as a large used-vehicle operation. The company also has a Chevrolet dealership in Florida.
