Health and nutrition store opening in Central Park

A fast-growing national chain focused on health and nutrition is opening a store in Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping center.

A Complete Nutrition store is scheduled to open Nov. 17 at 1261 Carl D. Silver Parkway in a strip shopping center that also includes a Caribou Coffee shop. The business will be in an endcap-space that was formerly a vacuum store. The company focuses on hydration, supplements, balanced diet and exercise.

Morgan Rasmussen and Tyler Altenhofen moved to the Fredericksburg area from Iowa late last year to open the Complete Nutrition store. They also plan four or five stores in the Richmond market, one in Frederick, Md., and perhaps additional locations later. They will have three or four full-time employees and the same number of part-timers per store.

Rasmussen and Altenhofen, whose business partners Dean and Kelli Weber plan to also move to Virginia, hope to start construction on the new store in the next week or two. The group formerly ran restaurants in Iowa. Rasmussen said they picked the Fredericksburg area for its strong demographics and economy.
