The Orion planning Aug. 3 opening

Local entrepreneur Ryan Bullock is shooting for an early August opening for his new restaurant and space-themed nightclub in downtown Fredericksburg.
The Orion, which will be at 318 William St., will have high-tech features including an illuminated bar top that glows at night, 23 LCD screens, digital menus, a point-of-sale system using iPads and projectors that display stars on the ceiling.
The cuisine will focus on sushi, which can be ordered online or by phone and picked up. Eat-in guests can sit at traditional tables or on leather couches and chairs.
Bullock hopes to open The Orion on Aug. 3, but he said it could get pushed back to Aug. 10.
