Spotsylvania approves three-year marketing contract
Spotsylvania County has hired two companies to help brand itself to potential visitors and employers.
The Board of Supervisors last week approved a three-year contract worth up to $750,000 to Dana Communications and Management Analysis Inc.
The two firms will review all economic development and tourism activities undertaken by the county, including incentives, websites, events, social media and marketing. The goal is to attract employers, visitors, jobs and tax revenue.
The two firms won the contract in a competitive bidding process that attracted about a dozen bids, said Spotsylvania Economic Development Director Tom Rumora, who will manage the consultants’ activities.
