Country Cookin planning August opening near mall

Country Cookin plans to open its new restaurant in front of the Spotsylvania Towne Centre in late August, a company spokeswoman said.
The Roanoke-based restaurant chain is converting the former Denny’s at 3400 Plank Road into its second area location. The other one, which is in Fredericksburg’s Eagle Village development off U.S. 1, will also be renovated later this year to better match the look of the University of Mary Washington Foundation’s mixed-use complex.
