Many hotels under development on U.S. 1 in North Stafford

Two new hotels are under construction along U.S. 1 in North Stafford, and more are in the works.

A Fairfield Inn and Suites at 2784 Jefferson Davis Highway and a Suburban Suites at 3097 Jefferson Davis Highway are under construction. Both will have 95 rooms.

Stafford officials are reviewing plans for a 98-room Courtyard by Marriott near the entrance of the Quantico Corporate Center and a 100-room Aquia Hilton Extended Stay at 3051 Jefferson Davis Highway.

An addition is planned on both sides of the existing Hampton Inn at 2925 Jefferson Davis Highway that will include new meeting and fitness space and 16 suites, according to plans recently submitted to Stafford.

Also in the works is a new hotel and conference center on the grounds of the Marine Corps Heritage Center just over the Prince William County line off U.S. 1. That facility, which will be on 10 acres next to the National Museum of the Marine Corps, is still in the bidding process.
