Marstel-Day wins $10 million Air Force contract

Fredericksburg-based Marstel-Day LLC has received a $10 million firm-fixed-price contract to provide environmental services for the U.S. Air Force through April 2016, the U.S. Department of Defense announced Thursday.

That comes on the heels of a $20 million, five-year contract that Marstel-Day was awarded earlier this year from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Norfolk district. The company also recently received the 2012 EcoLeadership Award from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence.

The 10-year-old environmental consulting firm employs 45 people at its headquarters on Princess Anne Street across from Carl’s, and additional staffers at offices outside the area.
