Bethem venture to be called Vivify Burger Lounge
314 William St. as it looked last year.
Blake and Aby Bethem have settled on a name for their new venture in downtown Fredericksburg: Vivify Burger Lounge.
Aby Bethem said the name incorporates the important elements of the planned business at 314 William St., which is across from the Bethems’ popular Bistro Bethem restaurant.
Quick-service burgers will be the main menu item. The space will morph into a modern lounge at night with small-plate fare. And the definition of “vivify” — “to make more lively” — is what they will strive for when the business opens around early October.
The opening has been pushed back a few months from the original plan because the Bethems have decided to build out and open the casual rooftop bar overlooking William Street for Vivify Burger Lounge’s debut this fall.
Demo work is finished at Vivify, and the Bethems are finalizing the process of choosing a contractor. Construction work is expected to start in June.
