Want to buy the shed where Secretariat was born?

The foaling shed in which legendary race horse Secretariat was born at what is now the Meadow Event Park in Caroline County will be sold along with the other land and property at a May 22 auction that is part of the State Fair of Virginia’s bankruptcy case. When the Meadow park was developed for the fair several years ago, the shed was relocated and restored from the north side of State Route 30 to the southern part of an equine complex next to training stables. There is a sign marking the shed as the birthplace of Secretariat in 1970.
