Former UMW exec opening store on Caroline Street
George Farrar and his wife, Jan Davis, plan to open a gourmet store in downtown Fredericksburg in mid-May that focuses on extra virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars and other culinary products.
This will be the couple’s second Taste Oil Vinegar Spice store. The other one opened this past fall on Davis Street in downtown Culpeper.
The Fredericksburg store will be in a 1,000-square-foot space at 815 Caroline St., the former home of Scentchips.
Farrar was previously University of Mary Washington’s associate vice president of university relations, a position he left last summer.
