Business notes, week of March 5-9

Here are some Fredericksburg-area business notes from the past week:

Nelson

  • Longtime Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer agent Virgil Nelson has been promoted to senior vice president. Neil Sullivan is the only other person who holds that title in Thalhimer’s Fredericksburg office.
  • Fredericksburg-area residents Nicole Klimtzak and Leah Racco have started a local business called Nickel City Pin Up & Boudoir Photography.
  • Stan Scott, executive director of the Virginia National Defense Industrial Authority, will be the guest speaker for the next A.C.E.S. Industry Group lunch event starting at 11:30 a.m. March 28 at Renato’s in downtown Fredericksburg. Scott will talk to the group of Fredericksburg-area architects, contractors, engineers, surveyors and site developers about the possibility of another round of BRAC and how it could affect Fort Belvoir, Quantico MCB, NSF Dahlgren and Fort A.P. Hill. The event is open to the public, and registrations are being taken ahead of time. Click here for more details.
