Harrison Crossing retail building sells for $4.2 million

A recently completed retail building at Harrison Crossing in Spotsylvania sold in early February for $4.22 million, according to county property records.

Two Washington-area investors — GDC-Plank LLC and JC-Plank LLC — purchased the 12,500-square-foot, 1.3-acre property from an affiliate of the Silver Cos. Koko FitClub, Verizon Wireless and Sleepy’s mattress stores all recently opened in that fully leased building.

Silver Commercial Brokerage agents Donny Self and Lisa Golden are now working on attracting tenants to another planned multi-tenant retail building along State Route 3 directly west of the one that recently sold. Construction will likely start after a majority of the space has been leased.

Hair Cuttery has signed on for 1,400 square feet at the planned building, and Self is optimistic that two more national retailers will follow. He said inquiries are picking up as the economy improves. The next retail building will range between 8,000 and 10,500 square feet. Additional retail facilities are planned in that section of Harrison Crossing.
