Local doctor wins trip for four to Masters golf tournament

Fredericksburg urologist Dr. Peter Carey won an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2012 Masters golf tournament through a fundraiser that netted the Fredericksburg Area Museum & Cultural Center more than $25,000. Carey’s name was selected during a cocktail party and drawing held Sunday night at the Fredericksburg Country Club. The FAMCC sold raffle tickets for $100 each for the grand prize — a three-day, two-night trip that includes deluxe lodging and tickets for four people to two days of the April 5-8 event in Augusta, Ga. The FAMCC purchased the trip package for the fundraiser, which it plans to hold again next year.
