AutoZone property sold in King George

The developers of the King George Gateway shopping center off U.S. 301 in the Dahlgren area last month sold the roughly 7,000-square-foot building holding an AutoZone store for $1 million to a group of Maryland investors called Clarion Investment & Property Management LLC. A Walmart Supercenter anchors the fast-growing retail center, which is next to the University of Mary Washington’s recently opened graduate campus. Other tenants that have signed on at the King George Gateway include Community Bank of Tri-County, Virginia ABC, GameStop, Verizon Wireless, Hair Cuttery and Five Guys. Facilities for those stores are now being built, and other businesses are being courted.

See tomorrow’s edition of Fredericksburg Business Insider for a full list of properties that changed hands in King George last month.
