Carl D. Silver continues to support Moss Free Clinic in death

Even in death, Carl D. Silver continues to support the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic in Fredericksburg. Silver’s family requested that memorial contributions to honor the late real estate developer be sent to the clinic. The Moss Free Clinic has received nearly $9,000 in contributions in Silver’s name since his Nov. 15 death, said Executive Director Karen Dulaney, and contributions continue to come in. The clinic operates in the Carl D. Silver Health Center on Sam Perry Boulevard. Silver gave $2 million to the clinic — which provides free medical care, dental care and medications for the uninsured poor — in 2006.
