Friends of the Rappahannock to receive free Toyota Highlander
Friends of the Rappahannock will receive a free Toyota Highlander hybrid during a Monday afternoon ceremony at Rosner Toyota of Fredericksburg on U.S. 1. Friends of the Rappahannock is one of 100 U.S. nonprofits to win a new vehicle as part of Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program. Thousands applied, and 500 made it to the voting round. Each day for 100 days this past summer, five finalists were pitted against each other, with the public voting on Toyota’s Facebook page. Friends of the Rappahannock, a conservation organization that works to keep the river healthy and scenic, was named the Aug. 19 winner. The keys to the Highlander will be handed over to the organization at 2 p.m. Monday at the Rosner dealership.
