Quarles to add natural gas fueling at some stations
Fredericksburg-based Quarles Petroleum Inc. will add natural gas fuel services at selected Quarles station locations in the Richmond and Washington Dulles International Airport areas, the company announced yesterday. Quarles has contracted with Clean Energy Fuels Corp. to provide the service. Quarles President Ben Wafle said “many of our customers are interested in natural gas-powered vehicles for their fleets.” The Quarles announcement points out that natural gas is cheaper and more environmentally friendly than diesel or gasoline, and is abundant in the United States and Canada.
