Ollie’s taking over Sport & Health location in Four-Mile Fork

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet will take over a storefront in Spotsylvania County’s Four-Mile Fork Shopping Center that is currently occupied by Sport & Health. The fitness club, which also has a facility in Fredericksburg’s Central Park, will be closing the 31,000-square-foot location at 5061 Jefferson Davis Highway sometime in the next couple of months and subleasing it to Ollie’s, which will then begin building out the new store in anticipation of a March 2012 opening.

We are checking on what this means for Sport & Health members, and an exact date for when the company will close that location.

Ollie’s, which is based in Harrisburg, Pa., has 104 stores in the Mid-Atlantic area. The closest one to Fredericksburg is in Richmond’s Short Pump area. With a motto of “Good Stuff Cheap,” it sells “closeout, surplus and salvage merchandise.” It sells, for example, merchandise that has been discontinued, overstocked, liquidated and salvaged.
