New Surgi-Center complex almost ready

The new 40,000-square-foot Surgi-Center of Central Virginia medical facility next to Fredericksburg’s Dixon Park complex will soon be welcoming its first patients. Michael Adams, whose JON Properties development firm is the general contractor on the $10 million project, said the first doctors locating in 5,000-square-foot office suites there — Rappahannock Gastroenterology Associates and Fredericksburg Foot and Ankle – will arrive at the end of August. Fredericksburg Oncology is moving in October into another 5,000-square-foot, second-floor suite, and one final office of the same size is still available. The Surgi-Center of Central Virginia, which is now at the intersection of Chatham Heights Road and Kings Highway in Stafford County, will move to the new facility in November and utilize most of the first floor for its operating and treatment rooms. Adams said the property owners are in discussions with a lab to lease the remaining 1,500 square feet that’s still available on the first floor.
