Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity returning to area market

Conservative talk radio is returning to the Fredericksburg-area market a week from today. Starting July 5, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity’s three-hour shows will air on 1350 AM and 96.5 FM. Those stations are part of The Star Radio Group, which is part of The Free Lance-Star Publishing Co. The shows will air weekdays between 9 a.m. and noon (Beck), noon and 3 p.m. (Limbaugh) and 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. (Hannity). A local news, traffic, weather and sports show will air on those stations between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays. The radio stations will continue to air ESPN sports content from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m. weekdays and throughout the weekend , as is the case now. “Mike & Mike in the Morning” will continue to air between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. weekdays. A Rush Limbaugh “week in review” will air between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Saturdays.

WFVA AM 1230 dropped the long-held conservative talk radio format in April and has since been offering adult standards music catering to an older demographic. See tomorrow’s FLS for more on why WFVA dropped the conservative talk format and why The Star Radio Group decided to pick it back up.
