Local men win patents
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office today announced the following patents won by Fredericksburg-area residents:
1. Joseph F. Sharrow of Fredericksburg and Christopher P. Behre Jr. of King George were awarded a patent for an invention for the U.S. Navy involving a mounting mechanism for securing an optical instrument to a platform. Click here for details.
2. Matthew Brostek of Stafford was among a team of inventors that won a patent for an invention for Lockheed Martin Corp. that involves disaster-recovery solutions for data on a computer server. Click here for details.
