Fredericksburg-area business notes, March 28-April 1

Virginia Partners Bank has opened its third Fredericksburg branch, this one located at 2521 Cowan Boulevard. The local bank also has branches in the Westwood Shopping Center and in downtown Fredericksburg.

Reese Medical Associates has moved into its new office at the Cosner East development next to the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. DLR Contracting built the practice’s new 6,000-square-foot medical office building next to another 5,000-square-foot medical office building it built there for Central Virginia OB/GYN. Cosner East developer the Silver Cos. plans an assisted-living facility near that area.

Jeff Hancock, a senior water resources engineer at Williamsburg Environmental Group’s office at the Riverside Business Park in Stafford County, has been appointed to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s Water Reuse Advisory Panel. Hancock has more than 20 years of experience in water resources engineering with an emphasis on wastewater and stormwater management.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday morning to celebrate the opening of Tax Doctor Plus Business & Financial Trust at 1267 Courthouse Road in Stafford County (see adjacent photo).

An 8,000-square-foot industrial building located on 2.1 acres at 34 Perchwood Drive in Stafford County recently sold for $1.1 million, according to a news release from Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, whose agent Virgil Nelson was involved in the sale. An entity called CSCQ-VA LLC bought the property, which is off U.S. 1 near the Stafford Regional Airport, from Tractors & Trucks LLC for the expansion of a trucking business.
