SmartCEO magazine recently chose five attorneys from Vanderpool, Frostick & Nishanian P.C. for its ”Legal Elite” list. The attorneys honored were Mike Vanderpool (mergers and acquisitions), Randy Frostick (litigation), Rick Nishanian (lender representation and commercial real estate), Craig Max IV (tax and estate planning) and Susan Cooke (Virginia Supreme Court litigation).

Taskforce Staffing welcomes Dorrie Chason as its new business development manager. Chason has worked in the hotel and hospitality business, as well as in the sales and marketing industry. She has also been active in the Chamber of Commerce. Chason is a graduate of Radford University and a lifelong resident of the Fredericksburg area.

Upper Cervical Health Centers of America announces the opening of its office on Ballantraye Drive in Spotsylvania County. Dr. Jean Exume & Dr. Teresa Williams are now seeing patients.

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative recently promoted Ricky Bywaters to district manager for the Bowling Green district. Bywaters, who previously served as the Bowling Green district director of customer services, will be filling the position vacated by the retiring Ernie Bates.

Robert “Bobby” Fauntleroy is joining StellarOne Bank‘s wealth management division. As senior portfolio manager, he will oversee wealth management in Culpeper, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Harrisonburg and Richmond. His office will be in Richmond. Fauntleroy was previously a senior vice president at Union First Market Bank.

Sue Bridi has joined Union First Market Bank as a vice president and manager of the Kenmore Avenue branch in downtown Fredericksburg. Bridi is a graduate of Mary Washington College and was the immediate past president of the University of Mary Washington Alumni Association.

Christian “Chris” Waller has joined Cushman & Wakefield|Thalhimer‘s Fredericksburg office. Waller was previously a senior vice president and project manager with The Garrett Companies in Stafford County. He continues to be a partner in several of Garrett’s partnerships. Waller began his real estate career in 1986 and has worked in real estate development, investing, financing and more.

StellarOne Corp. has named O. R. (Ed) Barham Jr. as president and CEO of its banking subsidiary, StellarOne Bank. Barham is also president and CEO of the Charlottesville-based parent company.
