Haven apartment developer will build units near Spotsylvania hospital

Johnson Development Associates, a South Carolina-based firm that is now building the Haven apartment community in Fredericksburg’s Celebrate Virginia South, plans to build another Haven complex next to the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center called The Haven at Cosner East. JDA is under contract to buy about 33.6 acres from the Silver Cos. at Cosner East, which Spotsylvania County’s Board of Supervisors rezoned Tuesday night to allow for the apartments. Johnson Development plans to build about 256 apartment units in the first phase of the project and has the right to eventually build up to 480 units. The land sale is expected to occur in the next few months, and construction could start this summer. See tomorrow’s FLS for more details. The photo that goes with this post is an aerial of the Celebrate Virginia project, which is expected to start receiving residents in March and be finished this summer. I think this is a great project. I will certainly give those working at the hospital and the immediate area a place to work, shop and live within a high class community.

Will there be a conveyor belt from the Havens to SRMC emergency room?

This will be great for the poor folks. The Fred can take the residents down the new parkway to the food stamp office. These are gonna be ready in March, which means they are cranking them out over night. Most of these cluster apartments get lots of bed bugs, which spread from unit to unit.
