Kalahari Resorts launches $22 million expansion at Ohio park

Kalahari Resorts will spend $22 million to double the size of the convention center at its Ohio waterpark resort, the Sandusky Register reported today. The expansion will add 141 jobs to the Ohio resort, one of two facilities for Wisconsin-based Kalahari.

Kalahari owner Todd Nelson says his company still plans to build its third resort in Fredericksburg’s Celebrate Virginia South, but for now he hasn’t found affordable financing for the roughly $260 million project.
