Fredericksburg region’s jobless rate at 6.2 percent in November
The Fredericksburg region’s unemployment rate rose slightly to 6.2 percent in November, according to data released today. That jobless rate for the George Washington Regional Commission was up from 6 percent in October as well as November 2009, according to Virginia Employment Commission data. The GWRC comprises Fredericksburg and Caroline, King George, Stafford and Spotsylvania counties. Only the Northern Virginia and Charlottesville areas had a lower rate in November.
