Two transactions relating to sale of Fredericksburg Distributing Co. in Stafford October deeds

There were two transactions in Stafford County’s list of deed transfers from October that appear to be related to Premium Distributors of Virginia’s purchase of Fredericksburg Distributing Co., a beer distributor. Premium, which is a subsidiary of Chicago-based Reyes Holdings, also purchased some of the assets of Freeman Beverage. Click here for the press release Reyes put out on the purchases. The purchase prices weren’t disclosed.

The October deeds show two significant purchases by “Lone Oak Fredericksburg LLC,” whose address is listed as 9500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Rosemont, Ill. Reyes Beverage Group has an office at that address, according to a Google search. The first transaction shows a $3,725,000 purchase of a property from Rappahannock Wholesale Corp. at the Heritage Commerce Center off U.S. 17 in Stafford, where FDC was headquartered. The other was a $700,000 purchase of 9.4 acres close to that property from Northern Neck Distributing Co., which FDC bought in 2004.

The companies have been very tight-lipped about the deal so I haven’t been able to get many details of the sales. So I at least wanted to pass along what was in the deeds, which shows only the real estate transactions, not the sales price of the entire company. For the record, I hope to start publishing the Stafford deeds on this blog starting in early January for the December deeds. They’ll be under “Data and Lists” on the top right side along with copious other information.
