Silver Cos. seek rezoning to build apartments by Spotsylvania hospital

The Silver Cos. are seeking a rezoning that would allow up to 600 apartment units to be built near the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. The apartments would be part of the company’s Cosner East development and be built near the intersection of Spotsylvania Parkway and Hospital Boulevard. Silver officials said Johnson Development Associates Inc., which is now building The Haven at Celebrate Virginia apartment community in Fredericksburg, has expressed interest in developing apartments there.

    Absolutely not! Traffic has become increasingly worse in this intersection of 17 and Hospital Drive. Another 600 apartments? You have to be kidding me! We have plenty of housing around here that isn’t being used. We don’t need more.
