Haven-Silver land deal was for $4.06 million

Johnson Development Associates paid $4.06 million for the 13.5 acres at Celebrate Virginia South where the company is now building a 232-unit apartment complex called the Haven, according to Fredericksburg records. The land deal with the Silver Cos. closed July 1. Click here for background info on this project.

    The 235 families could get food stamps and all kinds of welfare from Stafford County. The crime is nasty around those high-rise apartments. All this will make for some higher taxes in Stafford. So why is it called, “Celebrate Virginia’?

    Sorry, Rufus, but this is in Celebrate VA South in Fredericksburg, and it’s a “semi-gated” community so there shouldn’t be any crime. These are “high-end” apartments, which will be great for the construction workers who are building Kalahari, or so we’re told.
