Reserving an Amelia Square unit

Heather Hagerman, a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Elite and the primary sales agent on the Amelia Square townhouse project that we wrote about here and here in today’s FLS, said the process of reserving one of the 19 downtown Fredericksburg units works like this:

People fill out a form and pay a refundable $25,000 deposit. Once the details of the unit being purchased are solidified, the process moves to binding contract. There’s no penalty for backing out before the contract. When the contract is signed, the $25,000 is applied toward an earnest money deposit.

Hagerman says they have two reservations so far, including on one of the two $1.3 million units.
