ALDI planning three more Fredericksburg-area stores

ALDIALDI, a discount grocery chain, is planning to add three stores in the Fredericksburg area. The German-based company has operated a store in Spotsylvania County’s Four Mile Fork Shopping Center at 5099 Jefferson Davis Highway for nearly three years. The company is looking at adding one location in Spotsylvania and two in Stafford County. I’ll have more details in an FLS edition next week.

but the one in 4 mile fork seems popular. I don’t
think the prices are that good – and some of their
stuff is low quality off brands…

product selection is such that you cannot
accomplish your normal grocery shopping .. many
gaps.. basically you go somewhere else to get
what you could not at AlDI.

WalMart, at one point, seemed to be getting into
this size store.. I think they called it a
Community Store and I’m betting they’d do a
    pretty good job of it.

oops.. Neighborhood Market – here is:

This is the company that owns Trader Joe’s and whose model is similar in that they both use predominantly private label goods to stock the shelves.
