‘Intelligent Investor’ should pay attention to the fees

INVESTORS should pay closer attention to the fees they pay professionals to manage their money, Jason Zweig wrote in a recent Wall Street Journal column.

Zweig pens a weekly column for the Weekend WSJ called "The Intelligent Investor," which shares the name of the classic value investing book written by Benjamin Graham.

Zweig has helped revise Graham’s book, and he also wrote an excellent book on the emotions of investing called "Your Money and Your Brain." His weekly column is well worth reading.

Last week’s column was called "Take Off the Blinders When It Comes to Fees." It shows how investors overlook the fees they pay on mutual funds, particularly when investments are going up in price.
