Jobless rate up

The December unemployment rate for the Fredericksburg area (Caroline, Fredericksburg, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford) rose to 5.1 percent. That was the highest in the area since February 1994. Unemployment rose statewide. I’ll have more on this in tomorrow’s FLS Business section.
