Bank opens full-service branch in city

Waldorf, Md.-based Community Bank of the Chesapeake opened its first full-service branch in Fredericksburg last week.

The bank, located at 1340 Central Park Blvd. Suite 106, offers a full range of banking services and an ATM.

“We are excited to be bringing our community-focused approach to this market and to serving the personal and commercial banking needs of customers in Fredericksburg,” said marketing manager Diane Hicks.

Day-to-day operations of the new branch will be overseen by branch manager Linda Caporali, a longtime Fredericksburg-area banking professional.

In addition to branch staff, the Central Park office will have cash management professionals on-site to provide business-related services to commercial customers, as well as community wealth advisers specializing in investment and insurance services.

Community Bank of the Chesapeake moved into the Fredericksburg market in 2013, opening a loan production office in Central Park last September. That team has relocated to the new space.

Another Community Bank of the Chesapeake location is planned for downtown Fredericksburg in Mike Degen’s Park View project at 425 William St.

The plan for the project shows Community Bank of the Chesapeake opening a street-level branch.

A drive-thru window for bank customers would be created between the new building and the adjacent one at 417 William St.

Community Bank of the Chesapeake also has a branch in the Dahlgren area of King George County.
