UMW official named VP of Virginia association

Brian Baker, executive director for entrepreneurship at the University of Mary Washington’s Center for Economic Development, has been elected vice president of the Virginia Business Incubation Association (VBIA). Baker will head the VBIA’s communications committee and support the president.

The VBIA works to advance incubators that spawn entrepreneurship and small business development. Earlier, the organization moved its headquarters from Virginia Tech to the UMW Center for Economic Development at Eagle Village.
