Beer documentary to be shown at Oktoberfest
The craft beer documentary that features two local breweries will be shown in Market Square to kick off Capital Ale House’s Oktoberfest on Friday, Oct. 3.
Alexandria-based Take A Penny Productions is filming “From Grain to Growler” and will release the 40-minute movie in August. It’s about the explosion of the craft beer industry in Virginia over the past few years and its economic impact.
Stafford’s Adventure Brewing Co. and Caroline’s Rusty Beaver Brewery are both featured in the film.
The documentary will be shown at 5 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Market Square in downtown Fredericksburg.
Tickets to the showing are $5 for members of the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center and $10 for non-members. The ticket includes access to the screening and one drink ticket. Additional drink tickets can be purchased.
Adventure Brewing Co. and Blue & Gray Brewing will serve drinks at the event and there will also be food vendors.
